JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns (27-27, 64-60) defeated the Mobile BayBears (36-17, 74-49) 7-2 at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville on Friday afternoon.

Suns right fielder Kyle Jensen hit two homers in the five-run victory, and has hit four homers in the past week since he was called up to Jacksonville from High-A Jupiter. Suns starter Jose Alvarez (2-4) took the win after going six innings giving up only a run on six hits with no walks and four strikeouts. Mobile reliever Bryan Henry (6-4) took the loss as the Suns even the series with the BayBears, setting up a rubber match in Saturday's finale.

The Suns first took the lead in the bottom of the third when Kyle Skipworth drew a bases-loaded walk to score Kevin Mattison. The BayBears tied the game in the top of the fifth, when Adam Eaton hit an RBI double to even the score at one. Jacksonville quickly retook the lead in the bottom of the fifth, as Jim Negrych led off the inning with a solo homer to put the Suns up 2-1.

Jensen hit the first of his two homers in the bottom of the sixth, a solo shot to left that gave the Suns a two-run advantage at 3-1. Paul Gran also added a sacrifice fly in the inning to give the Suns a 4-1 going into the seventh. Mobile would score once in the seventh to make it a two-run game, however the Suns put the game out of reach with Jensen's second homer in the bottom of the inning, a two run bomb to left to put the Suns up 6-2. Gran would hit an RBI single in the eighth to extend the lead to 7-2, which would be the final score.

After Suns reliever Kris Harvey allowed a run in the seventh, Chris Squires and Jhan Marinez worked the final two innings in scoreless fashion to preserve the victory.

The Suns and BayBears will play the fifth and final game of the series on Saturday night at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Right-handed pitcher Bryan Evans (2-0, 1.99 ERA) will pitch for Jacksonville while right-hander Trevor Bauer (0-0, 0.00 ERA) will pitch for Mobile.

Saturday's game will feature the final appearance in the 2011 season of the world-famous "Zooperstars," plus a post-game fireworks show courtesy of NAPA Autoparts. Saturday's game will start at 7:05 p.m. ET, and fans can listen to the contest beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the U.F. & Shands Pregame Show on www.jaxsuns.com.
