The Portland Pirates Foundation is pleased to announce the 2008 Evening with the Pirates - A Night of Grog, Grub and Games presented by Ameriprise Financial on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from 6-10 p.m. at the Holiday Inn By the Bay.

Join the Portland Pirates team for an evening of silent and ive auctions, gaming (for entertainment only), live buccaneer music from the Calypso Cowboys, a treasure chest raffle with lots of booty, plenty of grog from Pepsi and Gritty McDuff's and grub from some of downtown Portland's finest galleys. And be sure to dress in your finest Pirate attire - there will be booty for the best Pirate costume! You won't want to miss this fun filled evening, an event of the Portland Pirates Foundation to benefit the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. What's downright nasty about this evening?

Over the past nine years, the Evening with the Pirates event has raised over $225,000 for area charities and non-profit organizations. With your help, we are confident that this year we will continue to make a difference in our community. Get on board and come to the event! Tickets are now on sale for only $25. St. Jacques at Subway Resturants

Bruno St. Jacques will be at the Subway Resturants location at 498 Congress Street in Portland Wednesday, February 13th from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. and at the location at 209 Western Avenue in South Portland on Wednesday, February 20th from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. Bruno will be signing autographs and fans will have the chance to purchase the St. Jacques Subway Pack at both Subway Resturant locations.

Pirates at L.L. Bean

Two Pirates players will be at L.L. Bean on Tuesday, Feb. 19th from 2- 4 p.m. to help celebrate L.L. Bean Kid's Winter Fun Week.

Wednesday, February 20

Pirates on Morning Radio

At 8:10 a.m. on WJBQ 97.9 FM Pirates players Mike Hoffman and Brian Salcido will be in studio to talk about the Day of Hockey and give away a four pack of tickets with Meredith, Jeff and Lori. The players will also be on WBLM 102.9 FM at 8:30 a.m. with "The Captain" and Celeste and will give away another set of tickets.

USA vs. Sweden

The Portland Pirates Foundation announced today that the U.S. Men's National Team will play Sweden on Sunday, April 27, at 7 p.m. (EDT) at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine.
