Moose sign Josh Prudden to PTO; release Dickenson

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have signed centre Josh Prudden to a pro tryout contract. The Moose also released Lou Dickenson from his pro tryout contract. Dickenson will now rejoin the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL.

Prudden, 28, has played 32 games with the AHL's Worcester Sharks this season, where he's scored five goals and four assists for nine points and 14 penalty minutes. Last season, the Andover, MA native split the season between Worcester and the EHCL's Fresno Falcons, tallying nine goals, 31 points, and 34 penalty minutes in 56 games with the Sharks, as well as seven goals, 17 points, and 26 penalty minutes in 18 games with the Falcons. He also added one assist and nine penalty minutes in six playoff games with Worcester last season. In 237 career AHL games with Worcester and the Cleveland Barons, Prudden scored 37 goals and 46 assists for 83 points and 148 penalty minutes.

Dickenson, 25, appeared in three games with the Moose after signing his pro tryout contract on Jan. 30/08. The Orleans, ON native has played 41 games with the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL this year, where he's scored 19 goals and 25 assists for 44 points and 26 penalty minutes.
