
Plumley, Gardner promoted to Tampa

CHARLESTON, SC - The New York Yankees announced Thursday that INF Grant Plumley and RHP Mike Gardner have been promoted to High A Tampa. They also transferred INF Hector Made and RHP Marvin Moscat from Tampa to the RiverDogs.
Plumley hit .254 with two home runs and 23 RBI in 68 games for the RiverDogs. The 9th-round pick in 2004 played 53 games at third base and 16 at shortstop.
An alumnus of Miami (OH) University, Gardner went 1-0 with a 0.90 ERA and a save in nine games for Charleston. The right-hander allowed only one run in 10 innings and did not surrender a run in his last eight appearances with the RiverDogs.
Made comes to Charleston after hitting .218 with 22 RBI in 43 games at shortstop for Tampa this season. The native of the Dominican Republic was signed by the Yankees as a non-drafted free agent in 2001.
Moscat pitched well for Tampa this season, going 2-1 with a 2.04 ERA and a save in 21 games out of the bullpen. Signed as a non-drafted free agent in 2002 by the Yankees, Moscat also resides in the Dominican Republic.
