Captains, WKKY teaming up for Adopt-A-Marine drive

Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH)-The Lake County Captains and WKKY FM 104.7 are seeking donations to the Adopt-A-Marine program, a Mentor-based effort to send supplies and gifts to U.S. military personnel serving abroad.
WKKY and members of the Marine Corps League will be on hand for the Captains game on Monday, July 4th at Classic Park to collect items from fans. Game time is 7:05 p.m. against the Lakewood BlueClaws. Gates open at 6:00. Fans are not required to buy a ticket to the game to donate items. All donations will be given to Adopt-A-Marine officials who will distribute them to soldiers serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and other locations. The program is soliciting items from the following list:
Tube socks; Foot Powder, Gold Bond medicated powder; Music CD's, hand-held video games; Fly Strips; ShaveMan⢠Battery Powered Shaver; Hand warmers; Single-use cameras; AT&T Global Pre-Paid Military Calling Cards (calling cards to work in Iraq and Afghanistan must be these specific cards); Frisbee, Nerf Footballs, Hacky Sack, Tennis Balls; Deck of cards; Hand-held games; Gameboy Advance games; Movie DVDs (new or used; original only); Music CDs (new or used; original only); Paperback books, novels (new or used); Magazines (new or used, but fairly current); Portable DVD and CD Players;
Items may also be dropped off at Detachment #555, 8720 Twinbrook Dr., Mentor, Ohio 44060. Donation hours are Monday-Friday 1:00-8:00 P.M. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 P.M.
