
Sutton's Shot Helps Keep Legends On Top

LEXINGTON, KY. - The names may change but the results remain the same. Lexington captured a 5- 1 decision over Lake County on Thursday night to improve to a season high 17 games over. 500 at 47-30.
Drew Sutton was one of three Legends that belted a home run. The Lexington second baseman smacked his homer in the first to bump the Legends into the lead. Mitch Einertson singled in Bryan Triplett to double the lead to 2-0 after two innings.
Lexington went back-to-back in the sixth inning. Bryan Triplett connected on a two-run shot and Frankie Caraballo drilled a solo shot to make it 5-0. Lake County broke up the Lexington shutout in the seventh on a Brian Finegan RBI single.
Evan Englebrook (6-1) became a six game winner with five scoreless innings. Raymar Diaz coughed up an unearned run on two hits in two innings. Andrew Alvarado and Ryan Thompson each pitched empty frames.
J. R. Towles continued his torrid pace with two singles. Mitch Einertson had two hits and an RBI.
Lexington will host Lake County on Friday night at 7:05pm. Fans will have a chance to win a two-year lease on a new Saturn Ion thanks to Saturn of Lexington at Quantrell Auto Group. The Progressive Direct pre-game show will kick things off at 6:50 on the Legends Radio Network.
