NO SHORT STUFF

Shortstop Christian Lara is hitting .353 with 8 extra-base hits in 20 games this month. The 20-year old Venezuelan native signed as a non-drafted free-agent with the Red Sox in 2002. Known for his fielding prowess, Lara's bat is starting to make noise as the shortstop has posted a .375 batting average over his last 10 games.

PANI POWER

Salvador Paniagua has also heated up at the plate this month. The 22-year old catcher is batting.379 with 3 home runs and 14 RBI over his last seven games. The recent hot streak has helped raise "Panni's" average to .271 on the season. A native of the Dominican Republic, Paniagua's 6 home runs now rank second on the team.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT

The Bombers want to thank Upstate Nissan, Bank of America and Charter Cable for sponsoring our "Patriotic Weekend" at Municipal Stadium.
