Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
The River Bandits are back in the postseason for the first time since the 2007 season and fans can lock-in their tickets to see exciting Midwest League playoff baseball in the Quad Cities right now.
The River Bandits will host the Thursday, September 9 contest and, if necessary, the Friday, September 10 game at Modern Woodmen Park against the Western Division Second-Half Champions. Both games are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Pricing for playoff tickets will remain the same as during the regular season, with berm seats starting as low as $5 and box seats starting at just $8. Thursday's game will be a Van's Pizza, Pub and Grill Thirst-Day Thursday and if Friday's game is necessary, Lujack's Friday Fireworks will follow the game.
Normal group rates will also apply for postseason games. Group ticket packages can be reserved now for both available dates. If Friday's game is not necessary, tickets purchased for that game will be valid for future River Bandit games in either the next round of the playoffs or for 2011 games.
The River Bandits will play the Western Division Second Half Champion in the first round. The opening round of the playoffs is a best of three series featuring a total of eight teams. In the second round of the playoffs, the team with the best overall record of the remaining Western Division teams will have the option to host game one or game two and, if necessary, game three. Should the River Bandits advance to the Midwest League Championship Series, Quad Cities would host games one and two of the finals.
UP NEXT: The River Bandits are back in the Midwest League Playoffs and you can be there for all of the excitement of postseason baseball!
