
Bandits Look to Take Series After 6-4 Win in Peoria

Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
PEORIA, Illinois - The Quad Cities River Bandits took an early 2-0 lead after two innings and never looked back. They added three more in the fourth which proved to be enough as the Chiefs scored just four in the contest. Peoria plated three after five innings, but were unable to overpower the Bandits bullpen that allowed just one run in the 6-4 win.
Jorge Rondon (4-6) was the starter for Quad Cities. He was unable to pick up a decision after surrendering three runs through 4.1 innings of work. Dan Calhoun (7-0) remained undefeated after picking up his seventh win in relief. Calhoun went just 2.2 innings and surrendered one run on three hits. Chris Notti (1-0) threw 1.1 extending his scoreless streak to 16 straight innings without allowing a run. Notti's hasn't allowed a run since July 10th in 10 appearances. Aaron Terry (14) was able to record his 14th save of the season throwing a final 0.2 scoreless for the Bandits.
Colin Walsh led the way offensively for the River Bandits going 3-for-5 with a triple and an RBI. Luis Mateo added a pair of RBI in his 2-for-5 performance which included his fifth homer of the season. Ted Obregon chipped in with two RBI after going 2-for-4. Matt Adams extended his hitting streak to nine games after he roped his 35th double of the season.
Frank Batista (2-4) was charged with his fourth loss of the season after being touched for five runs on eight hits through just 3.2 innings on the hill.
The Bandits hit try to take the series with Peoria on Tuesday night. Justin Smith (6-1) is scheduled to start for the River Bandits and he will face-off with fellow righty Su-Min Jung (7-3). Game time is set for 7 p.m. at O'Brien Field in Peoria, Illinois.
