Pigs Look to Keep Good Times Rolling

April 21, 2016 - International League (IL1)
Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to keep the good times rolling in Syracuse on Thursday afternoon in the series finale of a three-game set against the Syracuse Chiefs. First pitch from NBT Bank Stadium is set for 1:05 p.m.

LHP Adam Morgan (0-1, 4.22) gets the ball for manager Dave Brundage's squad on Thursday. The southpaw was tagged with the loss on Friday vs. Pawtucket after giving up six runs (four earned) on 10 hits while walking a pair and fanning five over 5.2 IP. In his career against the Chiefs, Morgan is 1-0 with a 2.78 ERA over four starts.

RHP A.J. Cole (1-0, 2.57) will be on the bump for Syracuse in the series finale. The right-hander got a no-decision on Saturday at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre when he allowed two runs on four hits while walking three and fanning a pair in just two innings of work. Cole defeated the Pigs back on April 8 when he allowed just one run (none earned) on one hit over 5.0 IP that day.

After notching the save in game one on Wednesday, IronPigs RHP Edward Mujica has now recorded three straight scoreless appearances. Mujica is tied for the league lead in saves (3) and has fanned six batters in 5.0 IP this season.
