Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to make it two wins in a row when they host the Toledo Mud Hens on Wednesday night. First pitch at Coca-Cola Park is set for 7:05 p.m.

LHP Jesse Biddle (1-0, 6.75) gets the ball for the Pigs. Biddle-who was named the IL Pitcher of the Week last week-got the win on Friday at Rochester when he allowed three hits over seven shutout innings to go along with a walk and seven strikeouts. The Philadelphia native will be making his third start with the IronPigs since being recalled from Reading. Biddle was 7-2 with a 4.24 ERA in 15 GS with the Fightin Phils this season.

LHP Kyle Ryan (0-7, 4.66) will be on the bump for Toledo on Wednesday night. The southpaw was tagged with the loss on Friday vs. Indianapolis after giving up four runs on 10 hits while walking one and fanning five over 6.2 IP. With the Mud Hens this season, lefties are hitting just .185 (5-27) against Ryan. The Auburndale, Fla. native is 1-2 with a 5.64 ERA in 8 G (5 GS) with the Tigers in 2015.

IronPigs OF Brian Bogusevic extended his hitting streak to six games with an eighth inning double on Tuesday. The streak began back on June 28 before Bogusevic departed to play for Team USA in the Pan-Am games. During the current stretch, the Palos Heights, Ill. native is hitting .286 (8-28)-0-3.

Wednesday is Bacon & Eggs Night at Coca-Cola Park as the IronPigs will wear their well-known bacon uniforms and the Mud Hens will don egg-themed uniforms for this one-of-a-kind event. It is also Ladies Night presented by the Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays.
