Michael Lorenzen (W, 3-4) won for the first time since April 13th after tossing five innings of shutout ball, scattering five hits while striking out two batters and walking one Sun in Wednesday's win.

With the win, the Wahoos earn their first series victory against the Suns on the 2014 season after Jacksonville had taken four of five in each of the previous two series.

Angel Sanchez (L, 0-8) took the loss by allowing five runs (all earned) on five hits in six innings of work. Sanchez would walk and strike out a pair of Wahoos each in Wednesday's losing effort.

James Nygren tossed the final two innings for the Suns, allowing two runs (both earned) on four hits while not issuing a walk and striking out two Wahoos.

Pensacola opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the bottom of the second inning, receiving a RBI triple from Travis Mattair and a run-scoring groundout off the bat of Yorman Rodriguez to take a 2-0 lead.

That score held until Pensacola plated two more in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Wahoos used a RBI triple from Juan Duran and a pinch-hit RBI single from Steve Selsky to double their advantage to 4-0 in the bottom of the fifth.

The Suns and Wahoos traded runs in their halves of the sixth inning, before the Wahoos extended the lead to 7-1 on a two-run Ross Perez base hit in the bottom of the eighth to cap off Pensacola's scoring for the ballgame.

A bases loaded walk to Isaac Galloway and a RBI groundout from Brent Keys got the Suns two runs in the ninth to pull the score to 7-3 in favor of Pensacola, which would go on to be the final score.

The Suns will head back home to host the Tennessee Smokies for a five-game series, with first pitch of Thursday's game one set for 7:05 p.m. ET at Bragan Field. The Suns are set to start right-hander Jose Urena (5-3, 4.76), with the Smokies likely countering with righty Julio Rodriguez (1-1, 3.38).
