Peckham Recalled By Oilers; Potulny and Jacques Join Falcons

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled defenceman Theo Peckham from the Springfield Falcons and assigned centre Ryan Potulny to their American Hockey League affiliate.

As well, left wing J.F. Jacques has been activated and assigned to Springfield on a two-week conditioning assignment.

This is the third recall of the season for Peckham, who was previously recalled from Springfield on October 23rd and November 6th. In 43 games with Springfield the 6'2", 223 pound defenceman has scored 6-13-19 with 81 penalty minutes to rank fourth on the Falcons scoring list. He is Springfield's leading scorer among defencemen and ranks fourth in powerplay scoring with 3-5-8.

Peckham appeared in his first game of the season with the Oilers in Edmonton's 5-4 loss at Pittsburgh on November 6th, registering a career-high 17 penalty minutes.

Potulny has skated in eight games with the Oilers this season and is +2 with three assists while averaging 10:29 minutes of ice time per game. The 6'0", 190 pound native of Grand Forks, North Dakota has scored 33 points in 38 games with Springfield, scoring a team-leading 19 goals and adding 14 assists. He leads the Falcons with seven powerplay goals and nine multiple-point games and has registered 26 penalty minutes.

Jacques has missed the season's first 51 games due to a back injury and will join the Falcons for conditioning purposes.
