SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Led by Matt Halischuk's two goals and two assists, the Lowell Devils rallied to defeat the Springfield Falcons, 4-2, on Friday at the MassMutual Center. It was the second four-point game of the season for the Devils right wing.

Down, 2-1, going into the third period, Lowell knotted the score at 9:41 when Vladimir Zharkov was the third man in on a rush toward the net and threw the puck over the shoulder of goaltender Dany Sabourin.

Halischuk struck for the first time only 61 seconds later, skating up to the crease to retrieve Zharkov's blocked shot and chipping it into the top right corner of the net to make the score, 3-2.

The Devils would get a chance to ice the game when Viacheslav Trukhno was sent to the penalty box for roughing with 2:00 left in regulation. Halischuk made the Falcons pay with his eighth of the season as flew down the right wing and flipped the knuckler past the glove of Sabourin.

Lowell took a 1-0 lead at 16:41 of the first on the only power play of the period, when Nicklas Bergfors was left alone on the near post to pound home a rebound.

Holding the one-goal edge heading into the second, Lowell saw Springfield come from behind to own lead at the end of the period. Carl Corrazini tied the game, 1-1, just 2:45 into the frame with a wrist shot from the near circle that snuck through the pads of Jeff Frazee.

The Falcons went up, 2-1, at 13:24 of the same frame on a power play goal by Ryan Potulny that hit off the cross bar and the Devils' crease before bouncing across the goal line.

Frazee stopped 24-of-26 shots for his 18th win of the season. Rod Pelley also chipped in two assists in the contest. Lowell went 2-for-6 on the man-advantage and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.
