Patrick Lalime Rejoins Blackhawks, Goaltender Mike Brodeur Reassigned to Admirals

CHICAGO, Illinois - Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that goaltender Patrick Lalime has rejoined the Blackhawks after completing his conditioning stint with the Norfolk Admirals. In addition, the Blackhawks have reassigned goaltender Mike Brodeur from the Toledo Storm (ECHL) to the Admirals.

Lalime (pronounced "lah-LEEM"), 32, is a 6'3", 192-pound goaltender from St. Bonaventure, Québec. He appeared in four games with Norfolk, going 3-1-0 with a 2.49 goals against average and .930 save percentage. He had missed the first part of the season recuperating from off-season surgery to repair a herniated disc in his back.

In addition, the Blackhawks have re-assigned goaltender Mike Brodeur (pronounced "broh-DUHR") to the Admirals from their ECHL affiliate, the Toledo Storm. Brodeur, 23, is a 6'1", 171-pound goaltender from Calgary, Alberta. Last week, Brodeur was named the Rbk Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week after going 3-0-0 with two shutouts for the Storm. On the season, Brodeur is 5-2-0 in seven games between the Storm and the Augusta Lynx with three shutouts, a 2.00 goals against average and .931 save %.

The Admirals are now preparing for a Friday night showdown against their East Division rivals, the Hershey Bears. The puck drops at 7:15 p.m. Friday night's game will feature an AJ Gator's Pre-Game Party. For more information, please visit norfolkadmirals.com.
