
Kings Recall Pushkarev, O'Sullivan

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled forwards Patrick O'Sullivan and Konstantin Pushkarev from the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
O'Sullivan, 21, has two points (1-1=2) and six penalty minutes in 12 games with the Kings this season. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, who made his Kings/NHL debut on October 6 at Anaheim and scored his first Kings/NHL goal versus Minnesota on October 18, also has 17 goals (leads the Monarchs), 34 points (17-17=34), a plus-9 rating and 10 penalty minutes in 38 games with the Monarchs this season. The Kings acquired O'Sullivan, originally selected by Minnesota in the second-round (56th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, and a first-round choice (Trevor Lewis) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft for Pavol Demitra on June 24, 2006. O'Sullivan has 34 points (17-17=34) and 10 penalty minutes with the Monarchs this season. He is ranked first in goals (17) and second in points (34) with the Monarchs.
Pushkarev, 21, has played in eight games with the Kings this season and has three points (1-2=3) and four penalty minutes. Pushkarev, who scored his first NHL goal on January 8 against Edmonton at STAPLES Center, also has 15 points (4-11=15) and 25 penalty minutes in 31 games with the Monarchs this season. A 6-foot, 180-pound native of Ust Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan, Pushkarev was originally selected by the Kings in the second-round (44th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He made his Kings/NHL debut last season, recording one point (0-1=1) and zero penalty minutes in one game.
