HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that centreman Mathieu Aubin has been assigned to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.

Aubin, 20, has appeared in 11 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs this season, collecting four points (2-2-4) and four penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 204-pound rookie has also registered 14 points (4-10-14), a plus-6 rating and 16 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones this season.

A native of Sorel, Quebec, Aubin was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the 5th round, 130th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

In operation since 1936, the American Hockey League is the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams. Over 80 percent of NHL players are AHL graduates, and more than 350 AHL players were recalled to the NHL during the 2005-2006 season alone.

The Bulldogs return to action on Friday, January 26th at 7:30 p.m. when they take on the San Antonio Rampage at Copps Coliseum.
