
Parley Named RBC Financial Group ECHL Saver Of The Month!

PRINCETON, N.J. - The South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League announced today that Davis Parley is the RBC Financial Group ECHL Saver of the Month for March.
The 6-foot-2 and 185-pound Parley was 6-1-0 with a shutout, a 1.78 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage to help the Stingrays go 9-3-0 in March.
Selected in the fourth round (120th overall) by the Florida Panthers in the 2000 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Parley has a seven-game winning streak which started on Mar. 8 when he stopped 29 shots in a 6-3 win at Columbia. He recorded his third shutout of the season with 22 saves in a 5-0 win at Columbia on Mar. 12 before stopping 32 shots in a 2-1 win at Gwinnett on Mar. 14 and 34 shots in a 3-1 win against Florida on Mar. 15.
The 25 year old stopped a season-high 44 shots in a 4-2 win against Florida on Mar. 21 and ended the month with 30 saves in a 5-2 win against Charlotte on Mar. 25.
Parley is 23-9-2 and ranks second in the ECHL with four shutouts. He is third in the league with a 2.28 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage and his 23 wins tie him for sixth. He has also played one game in the American Hockey League with Hershey.
In 2006-07 with the Stingrays, the Grenfell, Saskatchewan native was 31-19-7 and set career highs with three shutouts and 60 appearances while compiling a 3.24 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage. He also played in the American Hockey League where he was 1-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .955 save percentage in one game with Hershey.
In his fifth season in the ECHL, Parley is 96-87-25 with nine shutouts, a goals-against average of 3.23 and a save percentage of .910 in 220 regular season games with the Bakersfield Condors, Texas Wildcatters and South Carolina.
He played four years in the Western Hockey League with Kamloops where he was 80-61-10 with seven shutouts and a goals-against average of 3.05 and a save percentage of .907.
