Royals Announce 2008 ECHL Playoff Roster

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced the team's 2008 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoff Roster. The Royals' twenty-three player Playoff Roster is comprised of eighteen active players, one player on recall to Manchester (Patrik Hersley), two players on loan to AHL teams (Shawn Collymore-Hershey Bears; and Kevin Schaeffer-Providence Bruins), and two players on the injured reserve (Steven Later and Brian Boulay). Reading's Playoff Roster, which is comprised of twelve forwards, nine defensemen, and two goaltenders is as follows:

The Royals face-off against the Elmira Jackals in Game One of the North Division Semi-Final best-of-seven playoff series on Friday, April 11 (7:35 pm) at First Arena in Elmira, New York. The series returns to the Sovereign Center for Game Two on Saturday, April 12 (7:05 pm). The game night broadcast next Friday will begin at 7:05 pm with the pre-game warm-up show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Ephrata, as well as on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. Streaming video is available on a pay per view basis through the B2 Networks.
