Panthers Recall Drew Shore, Reassign Bobby Butler to Rampage

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that F Drew Shore has been recalled from San Antonio (AHL). In addition, the club has reassigned F Bobby Butler to San Antonio.

Shore, 23, has played in 21 games for the Panthers this season recording five goals and an assist. For his career in the National Hockey League, he has played in 64 games registering 19 points (8-11-19) and 18 penalty minutes. The Denver, CO native has also appeared in 49 games for San Antonio this season, registering 31 points (6-25-31).

Shore was drafted by Florida in the second round (44th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Butler, 26, appeared in two games with Florida this year, registering his first point, an assist in Florida's 3-2 win over Dallas Sunday night. The Marlborough, MA native has played in 130 career National Hockey League games with Ottawa (2009-12), New Jersey (2013), Nashville (2013) and Florida (2013-14) recording 49 points (20-29-49) and 28 penalty minutes.

Butler has also appeared in 64 games for San Antonio this year, recording 45 points (21-24-45) and 12 penalty minutes.

Florida continues a five-game home stand tomorrow night when they host the Philadephia Flyers at 7:30 p.m. The game can be seen in South Florida on Center Ice and Game Center Live (by subscribers) and on the NHL Network (by cable/IPTV customers). The game will also be broadcast on 560 WQAM.
