Weekly: Bulldogs Wrap up Nine-Game Road Trip this Week

The Hamilton Bulldogs will wrap up their nine-game road trip this week before hitting home ice on Saturday for the first time since March 22nd.

On Tuesday, April 8th and Wednesday, April 9th, the Bulldogs will visit the St. John's IceCaps (American Hockey League affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets) at Mile One Centre in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador in 6:00 p.m. ET starts on both nights. The matchups will be the third and fourth between the 'Dogs and IceCaps in 2013-2014 as well as Hamilton's only two stops in St. John's this season.

The Bulldogs return to FirstOntario Centre on Saturday, April 12th when they will host the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres) at 7:00 p.m. The game will be the eighth and final time the 'Dogs and Amerks will go head-to-head this season, as well as the fourth contest between the two clubs in Hamilton in 2013-2014.

The Hamilton Bulldogs held a lead on the Oklahoma City Barons in all three periods of regulation time on Wednesday evening, but the Barons tied it late before edging the 'Dogs 5-4 in a shootout at Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Defenceman Drew Schiestel and forwards Patrick Holland, Sven Andrighetto and Gabriel Dumont scored for Hamilton, while goaltender Robert Mayer made 35 saves in the loss.

A three-goal second period by the newly-formed forward line of Mike Blunden, Gabriel Dumont and Sven Andrighetto gave the Hamilton Bulldogs a two-goal lead heading into the third period, then the 'Dogs added another in the final frame en route to a 4-1 win over the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday evening at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Defenceman Greg Pateryn added the third-period goal into an empty Grand Rapids net, while goaltender Dustin Tokarski made 27 saves for the win.

The Hamilton Bulldogs extended their point streak to four games on Saturday evening, but fell to the Grand Rapids Griffins 2-1 following a 10-round shootout at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. HAMILTON BULLDOGS SUMMER HOCKEY CAMP

The Hamilton Bulldogs are proud to present their 2014 Summer Hockey Camp featuring on-ice instruction from the highly-touted Kelly Reed. Our camp (ages eight to 13) runs from July 28th to August 1st and will consist of three hours of on-ice training and three hours of off-ice training each day. On-ice training will focus on skill development, power skating and game tactics. Off-ice training will include a combination of aerobic and anaerobic training as well as games such as ball hockey, soccer, football, etc. We will also offer campers a unique opportunity to check out all of the newest Reebok-CCM equipment and we will take the campers on a tour of the Bulldogs' dressing room to get a sneak peek of what life as a professional hockey player is all about.

All on-ice skills will be run Kelly Reed and his staff. In addition, special appearances will be made by members of the Bulldogs coaching staff, as well as former and current Bulldogs players. All campers will receive a Bulldogs Hockey Camp jersey, tickets to a Bulldogs 2014-2015 regular season home game and much more.
