IT'S A CLINCH
By claiming three points against Milwaukee last week (1-0-0-1), the Wolves clinched the 16th playoff berth in the team's 20-year history; additionally, Chicago reclaimed the Amtrak Rivalry trophy from the Admirals for their fourth win in five seasons since its inception in 2009-10.
WOLVES HEADLINERS
--- JAKE ALLEN: Allowed just one goal in two games against Milwaukee last week to improve his numbers against the Admirals this season to 6-0-2 with a 1.69 goals-against average and .933 save percentage ... Entered the Wolves record books by tying the franchise record for shutouts in a single season (6) and becoming the fourth goaltender in team history to record 30 wins ... Has set or tied his AHL career-highs in wins, minutes, and shutouts this season and is on pace for the best goals-against average and save percentage of his AHL career ... Paces the league with 30 wins, six shutouts, and 2,958:41 minutes played and sits second behind Grand Rapids' Petr Mrazek with a 2.09 goals-against average and .926 save percentage
--- PAT CANNONE: Scored twice in Sunday's shootout loss to give him seven goals and 14 points in 14 games since returning from injury on March 5 after missing 16 games ... Sunday marked his fourth AHL multiple-goal game and second this season after recording his first professional hat trick on March 8 at Abbotsford ... Sits second on Chicago in goals (15) and plus/minus rating with a +19 and fourth in points (29) ... Tallied 25 points (10G, 15A) and 41 penalty minutes in 74 AHL games with the Binghamton Senators last season, ranking seventh in the AHL with a career-high +21 plus/minus rating
--- ALEXANDRE BOLDUC: Dented the net on both Saturday and Sunday, moving his second-half totals to seven goals and 13 assists after posting just 12 points (6G, 6A) in the first half of the season ... Stands third on the Wolves with 13 goals and 32 points ... Represented Team Canada at the Spengler Cup in December ... Held scoreless in 14 NHL games with Phoenix last season ... Was the second-leading scorer for Portland in the AHL with 51 points (24G, 27A) in 56 games
--- DEREK NESBITT: Returned to the Wolves lineup on Tuesday after missing 17 games injured and contributed the game-winning power-play goal on Saturday ... Appeared in two games for Chicago after being acquired from San Antonio on Feb. 8 in exchange for future considerations before leaving the game on Feb. 15 with an injury ... Posted 11 goals and 20 points in 43 games with Oklahoma City and San Antonio this season prior to joining the Wolves
WOLF TRACKS
--- With the victory on Saturday, the Wolves succeeded in putting together a 40-win season for the 14th time in team history; it is just the third time Chicago has done so since head coach JOHN ANDERSON left for Atlanta in 2008.
--- Chicago defenseman BRENT REGNER returned to the lineup last week as the Wolves put together a perfect 9-for-9 performance on the penalty kill; the team's PK success rate dipped to 83.3 percent (30-for-36) without REGNER in the lineup as opposed to 86.3 percent (240-for-278) with him.
--- Despite being held scoreless on Sunday, Wolves rookie TY RATTIE tied his AHL-high with a team-leading nine shots on goal; the first-year pro paces Chicago with 204 shots in 69 games while the second-closest active Wolves player is DEREK NESBITT with 119.
--- The Wolves have gone to the shootout in four of their last five games at Allstate Arena, posting a 2-2 mark in those contests; Chicago has a 7-5 season record in the shootout and a 10-10 record overall when the game goes beyond regulation.

--- Neither the Wolves nor Wild could hold a lead before the teams decided the game in a six-round shootout
--- ALEXANDRE BOLDUC scored 18 seconds in and PAT CANNONE bagged two goals, but no Wolves converted shootout attempts
--- Goaltender MATT CLIMIE kicked out 29 shots through regulation and overtime and stopped five of six in the shootout
Saturday, April 5

--- A tight contest, the Wolves scored the winning goal on a power play in the third period and added two empty-net markers late
--- JANI HAKANPAA opened scoring at 2:06 and Chicago got third-period tallies from DEREK NESBITT, ALEXANDRE BOLDUC, and ADAM CRACKNELL
--- Goaltender JAKE ALLEN stopped 24 of 25 shots for his 30th win

--- The Wolves and Admirals battled for 65 minutes with no score
--- KEITH AUCOIN scored the lone tally for Chicago in the six-round shootout as Milwaukee converted two chances
--- Goaltender JAKE ALLEN saved all 22 shots through regulation and overtime for his sixth shutout, tying the Wolves franchise record for single-season shutouts by a goaltender
