Pack the PODS with Teddys and Toys For Tots

Friday night's game is your second chance to help us fill up the P.O.D.S. storage units outside CenturyTel Center with new toys to benefit Toys For Tots. We will also be hosting our annual "Teddy Bear Toss" when the Mudbugs take on the Colorado Eagles at 7:05 pm on December 14th.
The Mudbugs are teaming up with P.O.D.S. (Portable On Demand Storage) again, this time to help the US Marine Corps Reserve and their annual Toys For Tots program deliver new toys to needy area children. PODS already set up their convenient portable storage units last Tuesday against Oklahoma City, and will be doing so again on Friday against defending CHL champion Colorado and on Tuesday, December 18th against Tulsa . The Mudbugs are asking that all fans in attendance at each game bring along a new unwrapped toy for distribution through Toys For Tots.
Another fun event at Friday night's game will be the "Teddy Bear Toss", where we encourage fans to bring the stuffed toys with them to the game. After the first Mudbugs goal against the Eagles, fans can throw their teddy bears onto the ice, where they will be collected and also distributed to the Toys for Tots program.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program is to collect toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
Friday's game will be the second and final regular-season meeting this year between Bossier-Shreveport and Colorado . The Eagles won the first meeting 5-2 in Colorado last Saturday, handing Bossier-Shreveport its first regulation loss since November 17th. The Mudbugs record stands at 10-7-3 on the season, with points in 11 of their last 13 games. Tickets to the game are still available through Ticketmaster or by calling 318-752-BUGS.
