P-Bruins fall to Bridgeport

The Providence Bruins and Bridgeport Sound Tigers wrapped up their four-game season series on Wednesday night in Bridgeport, with the Sound Tigers taking a 3-0 decision. The Bruins won the season series, 2-1-1-0. The Bruins are now 28-22-10-3 (69 points), putting them in fourth place in the tightly-contested Atlantic Division. The Black and Gold is one point behind the Worcester IceCats, and four behind the Manchester Monarchs.

Bruin goaltender Hannu Toivonen stopped 21 shots and is 13-13-4 on the season.

The Bruins return home to host the Philadelphia Phantoms on Friday, March 12 at 7:05 p.m. They also host the Worcester IceCats on Sunday, March 14 at 4:05 p.m. Brad Boyes, the high-scoring center acquired by the Boston Bruins from the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, is expected to play his first game with the P-Bruins on Friday.
