WEST VALLEY, UT -- Jason Bacashihua made 31 saves and David Gove had a goal and two assists to lead the Utah Grizzlies to a 4-0 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Wednesday at the E Center.

Tim Wedderburn, Rob Valicevic and Dan Jancevski also scored for the Grizzlies, who snapped a four-game winless streak (0-2-0-2) and moved to within two points of Cincinnati and San Antonio for the fifth and final postseason berth in the West Division.

Bacashihua, a first-round pick by Dallas in 2001, turned aside all 10 shots he faced in the third period to preserve his first shutout of the season and sixth of his career.

Ilya Bryzgalov surrendered three goals on 11 shots before being pulled in favor of Eddy Ferhi in the first period for the Ducks, who have just one win in their last nine games (1-7-1-0).

The Ducks, who were shutout for the eighth time this season, have lost five straight games against Utah since winning the first game of the series, 6-0, November 28 at Cincinnati Gardens.

The Ducks and Grizzlies will complete a two-game series Friday at 9:05 p.m. at the E Center.
