August 18, 2015 - International League (IL1)
Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

RHP Sean O'Sullivan did not allow an earned run over 8.1 IP as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (55-69) topped the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (69-55) by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday night at PNC Field in Moosic.

O'Sullivan (2-2) allowed just one run (none earned) on three hits to go along with two walks and nine strikeouts over 8.1 IP. The nine strikeouts ties a season-high by an IronPigs pitcher, the fourth time that it has been done this season.

The San Diego native departed with a runner at first and one out in the ninth.

Holding a 3-1 lead, Pigs RHP Dustin McGowan (0.2 IP, H, BB) worked his way out of a bases loaded, two-out jam in the ninth to pick up his 10th save on the year. The run in the inning for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre came on a fielder's choice and throwing error charged to Pigs SS Chase d'Arnaud which allowed Rob Refsnyder to score.

The Pigs scored all three of their runs in the top of the third. Tyler Henson (1-3, 2B, 2 RBI) came through with a two-out, two-run double and Tyler Pastornicky (1-2, R, 2 BB) scored a run via a balk charged to RailRiders starter Eric Wooten.

Wooten (2-4) gave up the three runs on six hits while walking four and fanning four over five innings of work.

Brian Bogusevic (2-4, R) had a multi-hit game for Lehigh Valley.

The series continues on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. from PNC Field as LHP Anthony Vasquez (7-5, 4.45) will be on the bump for the Pigs against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RHP Brady Lail (1-1, 4.50).
