Orioles Recall OF Junior Lake from Triple-A Norfolk; Designate OF Travis Snider for Assignment

The Orioles today announced that they have recalled OF JUNIOR LAKE from Triple-A Norfolk and designated OF TRAVIS SNIDER for assignment.

Lake, 25, batted .333/.500/.333 (4-12) in four games with Triple-A Norfolk after being acquired by the Orioles on July 31, 2015 from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for RHP TOMMY HUNTER. In 62 games between the Tides and Triple-A Iowa Cubs this season, Lake hit .316/.411/.464 (66-209) with seven home runs and 31 RBI. In 193 career Major League games, Lake has hit .241/.283/.380 with 16 home runs and 46 RBI.

Snider, 27, batted .237/.318/.341 (50-211) with three home runs and 20 RBI in 69 games with the Orioles this season after being acquired from the Pittsburgh Pirates on January 27, 2015.
