Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons take on the Gwinnett Braves in the first game of a three-game series at Coolray Field (7:05.m.) Buffalo is coming off a series win (2-1) in Charlotte to begin their final non-divisional roadtrip of the season. The Bisons gained a game in the race for the IL North last night and now trail Scranton/Wilkes-Barre by just 3.5 games.

vs. the Braves

The Bisons are 0-3 this year against the Braves. Gwinnett has been a thorn in Buffalo's side the past two seasons as they have won nine of 10 from the Herd. The Bisons have not had a winning season against Gwinnett since 2013, when they went 6-2.

Phillippe Aumont

RHP PHILLIPPE AUMONT will make his second start of his Bisons career tonight. The righty's first start came last Saturday against Pawtucket. Aumont tossed 5.0 innings of one-run ball while walking six and striking out seven. He did not earn a decision in Buffalo's 8-7 loss to the PawSox.

MattVP

INF MATT HAGUE collected his team-leading 20th multi-RBI game last night. The infielder has now collected RBI in 45 games this season. The Bisons are 33-12 when Hague collects at least one RBI, and 16-4 when he collects two or more RBI. The slugger continues to lead the IL in average (.342), hits (145), RBI (79), and OBP (.429).

Andy Burns

Birthday boy INF ANDY BURNS is batting .359 (14-39) over his last 10 games. The infielder has had six multi-hit performances in that span and has driven in five runs. Burns has also hit four doubles, walked four times, and scored five runs during his hot-stretch.

Bisons Bits

OF ALEX HASSAN is batting .429 during his last eight games with five runs scored and two RBI...OF DALTON POMPEY has scored 21 runs in his last 18 games...The Bisons are an IL-best 43-8 when scoring first...With home runs from INF MATT HAUGE and DH LUKE SCOTT last night, the Bisons had their first multi-homer game since July 18 and just their 10th all season.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (58-52) won their fifth straight and swept the Twins last night with a 9-3 victory. Edwin Encarnacion drove in four and hit another home run. Mark Buehrle allowed three runs in 7.0 innings of work. The Blue Jays will travel to the Bronx to take on the AL East Division-leading Yankees in a huge weekend series. R.A. Dickey will take on Nathan Eovaldi tonight at Yankee Stadium (7:05 p.m.).
