Oreskovic heads to Brampton of the CHL

(Toledo, OH) - Defenseman Phil Oreskovic has been released by the Toledo Walleye to continue his professional career with the Brampton Beast of the Central Hockey League.

Oreskovic appeared in 10 games this year for the Walleye with no points and 15 penalty minutes. In 68 games last year with Toledo, The 26-year-old played posted one goal, 13 assists and 121 penalty minutes helping Toledo return to the playoffs for the first time in three years. Oreskovic played four years of his junior hockey in Brampton.

"This is great opportunity for Phil in his hockey and personal life to return to his hometown of Brampton, Ontario," said Head Coach Nick Vitucci. "Both parties felt like this was the best decision at this time. We can't thank Phil enough for all of the effort he has put forth both on and off the ice in representing the Toledo Walleye."
