Sean Berkstresser Named to ECHL Fantasy Team

Greenville, SC: The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced today forward Sean Berkstresser has been named to the 2013-14 ECHL Fantasy Team.

Berkstresser is in his fourth year with the Road Warriors and is the only player remaining on the team from the Johnstown Chiefs. The team's captain has played 228 games with the Road Warriors scoring 95 points; 38 goals and 57 assists. The 31-year-old has played in seven professional seasons including two years with Johnstown and a short stint with the Wheeling Nailers. Berkstresser is from Apollo, Pennsylvania.

Fans had the opportunity to vote on ECHL.com for one player on each ECHL member team's ballot to help select the 2013-14 Fantasy Team. Berkstresser will wear a special ECHL Fantasy Team jersey on Friday, January 17 as the Road Warriors take on the Wheeling Nailers.

The starting goaltender for each team will also participate in the MeiGray Goaltender Program and will wear a special jersey.

Both the Fantasy Team skater and goaltender specialty jerseys will be American-flag themed in support of the USA Hockey team at the upcoming 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

Each of the Fantasy Team skater and MeiGray goaltender jerseys will be available for bid through The MeiGray Group. Jerseys will be available for bid starting on Monday, January 20 through Monday, February 10.
