First, F Mickey Lang notched his league-leading 21st goal on a wrister and then D Eric Baier followed it up when he tied the game on a shot from the blue line with under five minutes left in the game. Neither team was able to strike in overtime, and the Gladiators prevailed in the shootout to take the extra point over the Solar Bears. Florida is coming off a weekend split against the South Carolina Stingrays, falling 2-1 on Friday before winning in shutout fashion 1-0 over the Stingrays on Saturday. F Parker Stanfield scored the lone goal of the contest at 10:54 of the first period and G Trevor Cann stopped all 29 shots he faced to earn the win. Orlando is 4-5-0-0 against Florida this season, including going 2-2-0-0 at the Germain Arena.
