Tonight's Matchup: The San Francisco Bulls (14-19-4-1) begin a brief two-game road trip when they take on the Bakersfield Condors (14-17-1-1), tonight, at Rabobank Arena. This is the fourth of 11 meetings between these clubs this season. The Bulls holds the edge in the season series, 2-1-0-0.

Two nights ago, San Francisco won a thriller over the Colorado Eagles, 5-4, in overtime. The Bulls got off to a fast start, taking a 2-0 lead through 20 minutes of play. The Eagles stormed back with three consecutive goals in the second period. San Francisco stopped the bleeding with a late goal in the second, tying the game up at three. The two sides traded goals in the third, sending it to extra time. With 1:44 left in overtime, on a power play, Dale Mitchell slapped a one-timer from the left circle that found the back of the net to win it. Ryan Garlock, Luke Judson, Jordan Morrison, and Riley Brace had the other tallies for San Francisco. Dylan King, Kalvin Sagert, Chris Crane, Scott Langdon, Brett Findlay (2), Mitchell, Kyle Bigos, Ryan Flanigan and Dean Ouellet all registered assists in the contest. The Bulls out-shot Colorado, 43-31.

With two more points in the win over the Eagles, Mitchell's strong season continued. He has a five-game point streak, with nine points (3g, 6a) in that span. Despite missing some time due to injury, he is second on the team in goals (11), and is tied for first with a +4 plus/minus rating. On the year he has performed at nearly a point-per-game pace, with 22 points through 23 games. Rookie forward Brett Findlay is also having a stellar season. His 28 points are the third most in the league among first year players.

After struggling to start the season, the Condors have been coming on strong as of late. One reason for the turn around has been the play of netminder Laurent Brossoit. He has allowed just 13 goals in 11 starts, giving him a miniscule 1.29 goals against average. In addition, he leads the league with five shutouts. No other goalie has more than three.

San Francisco is in sixth place in the Western Conference with 33 points. They are one point in front of the Utah Grizzlies. Bakersfield is in eighth place in the Western Conference with 30 points. They are two points back of the Grizzlies, and seven ahead of the Las Vegas Wranglers.

The Bulls have an off day tomorrow, before heading to Stockton on Sunday to take on the Thunder. The game begins at 4:00 pm.
