Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign Take on Heat on San Antonio Regional Hospital Night

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), host the Stockton Heat tonight at 6:00 p.m. PT Citizens Business Bank Arena. Tonight is the 10th of 12 meetings between the two teams this season.

San Antonio Regional Hospital Night:

The Reign will wear special superhero-style jerseys tonight and host a postgame jersey auction for San Antonio Regional Hospital.

Magic Number Down to One:

The Reign need only one standings point to clinch a berth in the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs heading into tonight's contest.

Series at a Glance:

The Reign hold a 6-2-1-0 head-to-head record against the Heat and 4-1-0-0 at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Last night, the Reign defeated the Heat 4-2 behind goals from forwards Jonny Brodzinski, Justin Auger, Sean Backman and defenseman Jeff Schultz. Backman (four goals, three assists) leads the series with seven points.

Special Teams are Special:

Over the last five games, the Reign have scored six power-play goals on 17 chances (35.29 percent) and have not allowed a power play goal in the last 10 games (no goals on 36 chances).
