Ontario Comes Back to Beat Utah 6-4

Ontario, California - The Ontario Reign came back to beat the Utah Grizzlies 6-4 Friday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Utah scored three goals in 6:39 to take a 3-1 first period lead after falling behind 1-0 1:30 into the game. Trevor Lewis knocked in a Colin Vock rebound at 6:15, Tyler Maxwell scored a power-play goal at 8:46 and Mitch Wahl slammed in a giveaway unassisted at 12:54. The game took a turn however with 1:16 left in the first period when Utah goaltender Andrew Engelage left with an undisclosed injury and did not return. Grant Rollheiser stopped three-straight power-play shots upon entering to keep the 3-1 score intact at the first intermission.

Ontario scored early in the second and 48 seconds into the third to tie the contest at three. They then added a shorthanded goal at 7:17 of the third and a power-play goal at 8:38 to take a 5-3 lead. They made it 6-3 with 4:29 left.

Trevor Lewis' second goal of the night again from Vock and Brad Mills made it 6-4 with 1:17 left in regulation.

Utah now heads to Las Vegas for two games to complete the weekend. Face-off Saturday is at 8:05 p.m. Face-off Sunday is at 3:05 p.m. from Orleans Arena.

The Grizzlies return home for five-straight games starting Friday and Saturday, January 11 and 12 with Las Vegas. It is Beer Fest with $3 premium beers and buy-one-get-one-free entrees from Angelina's Little Italy and El Pasado Cantina. After the game Saturday, fans can skate on the ice with the team for free. Skate rental is $2.
