Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release

Greenville, SC: The Road Warriors won a close battle on Saturday night against the Stingrays by a 2-1 score.

The scored was opened just after ten minutes in the first period by Kenndal McArdle. McArdle scored his seventh of the season off his own rebound. Greenville held the Stingrays to just three shots in the period; the lowest shot total against the Road Warriors in a period this year.

Brendan Connolly scored his 12th of the year, much like McArdle's goal, scoring on his own rebound. Greenville continued to play tight defensively allowing only 11 shots through two frames and taking a 2-0 lead into the second intermission. The period was highlighted by T. J. Reynolds third fight of the year. On his bobblehead night, Reynolds bobbled Tyler Randell's head multiple times in the scuffle.

25 seconds into the third frame Chris Langkow made the game interesting with a shorthanded goal. This brought the game to a 2-1 score which remained until the final buzzer. Nathan Lieuwen won his 11th game this season stopping 20 of 21 shots. Adam Morrison took the loss with 28 saves.
