
Ondrej Roman Assigned to Cyclones

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators announced today that the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League have reassigned forward Ondrej Roman to the club. In a separate transaction, the Cyclones released defenseman Jeremy Klaver.
Roman, a 2007 fifth round draft selection by the Dallas Stars, made his professional debut last year with the AHL's Texas Stars and earned 22 points (8 goals, 14 assists) in 72 games. This season, six-foot forward has logged ice time with three different teams - Texas, Idaho (ECHL), and most recently, San Antonio. Collectively in 2011-12, he has posted 14 points in 46 games with those clubs. Prior to turning pro, 23-year-old Czech Republic native was a three-year player in the WHL with the Spokane Chiefs where he amassed 141 tallies in 176 career contests. In 2007-08 he helped lead the Chiefs to the Memorial Cup and a WHL championship.
Roman is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Cyclones visit Wheeling Nailers at 7:35pm. Fans can hear all the action from WesBanco Arena on the Cyclones Radio Network (1050-AM, America One) beginning at 7:20pm.
The Cyclones will return to U.S. Bank Arena TOMORROW night when they play host to the Wheeling Nailers at 7:30pm.
