IN JUST A FEW HOURS...
The Elmira Jackals begin a four-game road trip with six contests remaining in the regular season when they take on the Toledo Walleye at 7:00 p.m. at the Huntington Center. The Jackals, who clinched a playoff spot on Sunday, have won two-straight games and play in Toledo tonight for the first time since Apr. 1, 2011. Elmira's magic number to win the Atlantic Division title is seven points over the Wheeling Nailers. The Jackals enter the action tonight in second place in the Eastern Conference.
GAZLEY LEADS LEAGUE AS SEASON NEARS END
Dustin Gazley leads the league with 77 points entering the second-to-last weekend of the regular season. The Novi, Mich. native holds a one-point advantage over Colorado's Chad Costello, who is out for the remainder of the season with an injury, Greenville's Justin Bowers, and Las Vegas' Adam Miller. If Gazley wins the ECHL scoring title, the Jackals would become the first team in league history with the leading scorer in three-straight seasons. Tyler Donati topped the ECHL in 2009-2010 with 114 points while Justin Donati led the league last year with 94 points.
RADJA STAYS RED HOT
Mike Radja now has goals in five-straight games (7g-1a) after scoring two more in Elmira's win over Wheeling on Sunday, tying Louie Caporusso for the longest goal streak by a Jackal this season. Since returning from the AHL's Houston Aeros on Mar. 3, Radja has 10 goals in seven games. He leads Elmira with 27 tallies in 2011-2012.
