Cowick Assigned to Jackals

The Elmira Jackals announced on Friday that forward Corey Cowick has been assigned to the club by its AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Cowick, a second-year pro, has eight points (4g-4a) in 18 games with the Jackals and 11 points (5g-6a) in 50 games with the B-Sens in 2011-2012. The 22-year-old was recalled to Binghamton on Mar. 7, posting a goal and two assists for three points in six games during his most recent stint with the B-Sens.

Elmira heads to Toledo for contests on Friday and Saturday with the Walleye and then visits Wheeling on Sunday to take on the Nailers. The Jackals returns to First Arena for their final regular season home game on Friday, Mar. 30 at 7:35 p.m. against the Reading Royals.
