October 6, 2014 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Cleveland Monsters News Release
As Quicken Loans Arena prepares to unveil its brand new center-hung HD scoreboard at the end of October, fans attending Cleveland's Lake Erie Monsters 2014-15 home opener on Saturday, October 11th at 7:00 P.M. are asked to "pardon the dust" during the team's contest versus the Grand Rapids Griffins. Some exciting new elements will be in place for Saturday's game while remaining construction continues.
Fans at the opener can expect to see four brand new, permanent screens in place in the northwest, northeast, southwest and southeast corners of the arena bowl which will display game action, game entertainment, score feeds and other event information. Much of the lower level LED fascia will also be used to display game statistics that will keep fans privy to what's happening on the ice. In addition, a new digital arena audio system will be in place during the game. All of these elements will allow fans the opportunity to still experience all the fun and excitement of the Monsters game presentation.
Monsters fans coming to the weekend set against the Texas Stars on Friday, October 31st and Saturday, November 1st will be able to witness the brand new center-hung HD scoreboard in full functionality and operation.
