Griffins' Revamped Mobile App Now Available for Download
October 6, 2014 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Grand Rapids Griffins News Release
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday launched a revamped mobile app that provides Griffins fans with access to exclusive information, ticket upgrades and in-game experiences throughout the season.
Available for download on iPhone and Android, the mobile app allows fans to purchase tickets to any of the Griffins' 38 home games using both the Schedule button, which displays promotional information and special ticket offers, and the Tickets tab, which displays single-game tickets for the next five available dates. Both purchasing methods are free of service fees.
The app also gives members of Griffins Nation the opportunity to interact with players and other fans by using their Facebook or Twitter profile to connect to the Fan Wall. Once on the Fan Wall, users will earn points by leaving comments and messages for their favorite players. Top fans will be awarded with memorabilia throughout the season.
Beginning in November, fans will be able to use the app during home games to upgrade their seats or purchase Griffins experiences, such as bench visits, zamboni rides or a quad ride with Griff and Finn. These opportunities will be sent via push notifications that will also keep fans up-to-date on breaking news, such as player transactions and sellout information.
The Griffins' mobile app was designed by Mobile Roadie, a self-service mobile application platform where you can create a fully functional app for iPhone or Android. As a software company, the team at Mobile Roadie is constantly updating their product with new features that reflect the trends and changes occurring in the mobile industry.
The app is live and will be available for use when Grand Rapids commences the AHL's regular season this Friday with a 7 p.m. game against the Lake Erie Monsters at Van Andel Arena.
Fans can secure their full-season, select-season or group ticket packages by calling (616) 774-4585 ext. 2. Single-game tickets for all home games are now available for purchase at all Star Tickets locations, including The Zone, online through griffinshockey.com, by phone through Star Tickets at (800) 585-3737 or by downloading the new Griffins app for iPhone or Android.
