Bulldogs Release Five, Assign Makowski to Nailers

MONTREAL, QUE. - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Bulldogs have released five players from professional try outs and also assigned defenceman David Makowski to the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers.

The players released today include forwards Derek Army, Shane Bakker and Riley Brace as well as defencemen Joel Chouinard and Zach Yuen.

These moves reduce the training camp roster to 17 forwards, nine defencemen and three goaltenders. For an updated roster, please see attached.

The Bulldogs open the 2014-15 regular season on Saturday, Oct. 11 when they will visit the Rochester Americans at Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial at 7:05 p.m. The puck drops for Hamilton's home-opening weekend on Friday, Oct. 17, when the 'Dogs host the Toronto Marlies at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m.
