
Phantoms Announce Opening Night Roster

Lehigh Valley, PA - The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, are pleased to announce the team's opening night roster in anticipation of the Phantoms' 2014-15 regular season opener this Saturday at 7:05 PM at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Following Saturday's tilt, Lehigh Valley kicks off the home portion of its regular season schedule Friday, October 17 with a 7:05 PM showdown at PPL Center against the Adirondack Flames. Tickets for all of the Phantoms' 38 regular season contests, including the first-ever regular season game at the brand-new PPL Center, are on sale now at the Mealey's Furniture Box Office (7th & Hamilton), by calling 610-347-TIXX (8499) or online at pplcenter.com.
Lehigh Valley's opening night roster includes 13 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders and features 13 skaters with experience within the Phantoms organization and another six players with previous AHL experience.
The forwards (in alphabetical order) include: Brandon Alderson, Nick Cousins, Austin Fyten, Andrew Gordon, Kevin Goumas, Brett Hextall, Scott Laughton, Taylor Leier, Darroll Powe, Jay Rosehill, Zack Stortini, Petr Straka and Chris VandeVelde.
The defensemen (in alphabetical order) include: Mark Alt, Steven Delisle, Shayne Gostisbehere, Robert Hagg, Oliver Lauridsen, Brandon Manning and Jesper Pettersson.
The goaltenders are Anthony Stolarz and Rob Zepp.
The Phantoms are coming off an incredibly successful, sold-out Battle on Hamilton on September 27 followed by a pair of preseason tilts at PPL Center that featured nearly 5300 and 6000 fans respectively.
