WEEK IN REVIEW

Jeff Jubinville recorded his first career hat-trick and Brandon Anderson earned his first victory as an Oiler on Thursday night as Tulsa rolled to a 5-2 win over Brampton at the BOK Center. Jubinville scored the Oilers' first three goals of the contest and Anderson turned aside 21 shots to help Tulsa snap a three-game losing streak.

Friday night, a crowd of 10,794 watched the Oilers complete a two-game sweep of the Beast with a 4-2 win. Adam Pleskach and Dave Pszenyczny netted power play goals for Tulsa and Anderson stood tall with 33 saves as the Oilers improved to 4-0-0 against Brampton this season. Jon Booras led the Oilers' attack with a goal and two assists for his 13th three-point outing of the season.

SHOW STOPPER

Rookie center Jeff Jubinville became the second Oiler this season to register a hat-trick as he scored his 15th 16th, and 17th goals of the season in Thursday's triumph over the Beast. The 26-year old notched a power play goal, a shorthanded strike, and an even-strength tally to complete the first hat-trick of his young career. Jubinville, who added an assist in Friday's win, ranks sixth in the ECHL in rookie scoring with 36 points and leads the Oilers with a +18 rating.

REDEMPTION FOR ANDERSON

After allowing five goals in his first start for the Oilers, Brandon Anderson responded with back-to-back wins last week in his first appearances at the BOK Center. In two victories over Brampton, Anderson stopped 54 of the 58 shots he faced for an impressive .931 save percentage. The Langley, British Columbia native shut down three Beast breakaway attempts on Thursday and surrendered only two goals on Friday in the midst of a heavier workload of 35 shots.

FILLING THE BARN

Friday at the BOK Center, the Oilers announced an attendance of 10,794, the third-largest hockey crowd in the seven-year history of the arena. The Oilers welcomed more than 10,000 fans for the fourth time since re-locating to the BOK Center in 2008 and recorded the fourth-largest crowd in the ECHL this season. Only Cincinnati (12,825) and Toledo (11,222 and 11,081 for two outdoor games) have drawn a higher number of fans for a single game.

TOMMY TRAVELS THE TURNPIKE

Last week, Tommy Mele became the Oilers' first AHL call-up of the season when he was loaned to the Oklahoma City Barons. In his fourth season of pro hockey, Mele made his AHL debut on Friday night and helped the Barons to a 4-3 overtime win against the Lake Erie Monsters. Mele, who participated in the Barons' training camp before the season, did not appear in the lineup for Oklahoma City on Saturday and is expected to return to Tulsa this week.

POWER PLAY IN RHYTHM

The Oilers snapped out of an 0-for-13 power play drought on Thursday and went 3-for-9 in the two games against Brampton. Tulsa was 2-for-4 on the man-advantage on Friday evening, its fifth multi-power play goal performance of the season. Drew Fisher, Jeff Jubinville, and Dave Pszenyczny each posted a pair of power play points in the last two games.

T-TOWN LOCKDOWN

After allowing an average of 4.4 goals per game in the last five contests, the Oilers clamped down defensively last week by giving up only four goals in two games against Brampton. On Thursday, the Oilers held the Beast to just 23 shots on goal, the third-lowest shot total for an opponent this season. Friday, Tulsa surrendered only two goals for the second consecutive game and ran its record to 11-3-1 when giving up two goals or less.

LOOKING AHEAD

The Oilers finish off a four-game home stand this week with a pair of games against the Rapid City Rush. Tulsa is 4-3-1 overall against the Rush and 2-3-0 on home ice. The Oilers hold a narrow 27-24 advantage in goals scored in the season series with the Rush.

EXTRA DROPS

Defenseman Jake Obermeyer will play in his 300th professional game this Saturday against Rapid City...Drew Fisher has points in four straight games and has moved into the team lead with 47 points (14 goals, 33 assists)...Brady Ramsay made his Tulsa debut on Thursday and dropped the gloves against Brampton defenseman Brayden Rose...The Oilers have allowed a power play goal in six of their last eight games...Tulsa has won back-to-back games seven times this season but has yet to record a three-game win streak.
