
Gwinnett's Springer, Stejskal Are AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performers of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Gwinnett Gladiators' defensemen Eric Springer and Joe Stejskal are the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performers of the Month for January after leading the league with a plus-minus rating of +13 during the month.
Springer was even or better in each of his 10 games in January, including a +4 in a 7-5 win against Florida on Jan, 23 and a +3 in a 7-2 victory over the Everblades on Jan. 17.
The 26-year-old has seven points (1g-6a) and is +7 in 32 games with the Gladiators this season. He has posted 32 points (4g-28a) in 117 career ECHL games with Gwinnett and Ontario. Prior to turning pro, the native of Wrightstown, Wis. played four seasons at the University of Wisconsin recording 10 points (2g-8a) in 84 career games.
Stejskal posted an even or better rating in 11 of his 13 games in January, and posted a +4 on both Jan. 17 and Jan 23 as well.
The 26-year-old has 19 points (4g-15a) and is +9 in 41 games this season. A native of Grand Rapids, Minn., he has 42 points (7g-35a) in 132 career ECHL games with Gwinnett, Florida and Wheeling. A fifth-round selection (133rd overall) of the Montreal Canadiens in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Stejskal has also seen action in 62 career games with Hamilton of the American Hockey League.
In recognition of their accomplishment, AMI Graphics will present Eric Springer and Joe Stejskal with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month Banner during an on-ice ceremony at an upcoming Gladiators' home game.
