Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - Major League Soccer announced that Nicolas Gagnon is taking part in the fourth edition of the course offered by the Fédération Française de Football, in partnership with MLS, for the league's academy youth coaches. At the end of the course, the coaches are awarded the Elite Formation Coaching Licence (EFCL).
"It's an opportunity to expand our knowledge by learning the methodology of one of the best countries in the world at developing players," said Impact U15 head coach Nicolas Gagnon. "As coaches, we have to be researchers on the ways to improve the players to bring them to the highest level and make them better people. This course helps in that and contributes to our continuous individual development."
The course runs over 12 months and the classes are about the FFF pedagogy and methodology on the different youth learning profiles, amongst other things.
Gagnon follows Wilfried Nancy, Philippe Eullaffroy and Serge Dinkota, who all took this course as Montreal Impact representatives in the past. The first step of his course is in Clairefontaine, France, followed by a visit to SL Benfica, in Lisbon, Portugal.
