TOLEDO, OH - The Detroit Red Wings have reassigned defenseman Max Nicastro to the Grand Rapids Griffins from the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

Nicastro, 23, has skated in five games with the Griffins during his first professional season, recording one goal. The Thousand Oaks, Calif., native appeared in nine games with the Walleye, registering five points (2g, 3a). The 6-foot-3, 225-pound blueliner has picked up four points (1g, 3a) in his last five games with Toledo.
