Trenton Titans News Release

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers, have announced defenseman Ryan Grimshaw has been called up to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

A 2012 graduate of Harvard University, Grimshaw will be making his second appearance in the AHL. At the end of his fourth varsity season with the Crimson, he played three games with his hometown Rochester Americans. Grimshaw also picked up three more games in the AHL playoffs that year.

With the Titans, Grimshaw was in the middle of his first full ECHL season, after joining the team late in 2011-12. Despite missing a few games with an injury, he was enjoying a career scoring year (amateur or pro) with three goals in just 23 games. In 26 games with Trenton, Grimshaw had six points, 4 PIM, -3 rating and was a valuable defensive contributor.

The Trenton Titans returned in the 2011-12 hockey season after a five year hiatus and boasted a 26.1% increase in attendance over the previous year, the largest of any team in the (then) 20-team ECHL.
