San Francisco Bulls News Release

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that Torrey Mitchell and Ryane Clowe have been released. They will return to their respective NHL teams, the Minnesota Wild and San Jose Sharks. In addition, Andrew Crescenzi and Jamie Devane have been re-assigned by the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Toronto Marlies. The end of the NHL Lockout has triggered widespread movement around the ECHL.

Clowe, 29, signed with the Bulls on November 6. He practiced with the team and served as an assistant coach throughout his time in San Francisco. He will return to San Jose where he serves as an alternate captain. Mitchell, 27, played in two games with the Bulls, scoring a goal in his first game on January 2. After spending the past five seasons in San Jose, he will join his new home with the Wild.

"We can't thank Ryane and Torrey enough for the professionalism they brought to the rink day in and day out while they were with the Bulls," said Bulls President and Head Coach Pat Curcio. "We wish them all the best this season and beyond in the NHL. In particular, we look forward to seeing Ryane down the road at HP Pavilion, lighting it up for our affiliate."

Crescenzi, 20, played in 23 games for the Bulls, totaling 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists). Devane, 21, recorded one goal and 45 penalty minutes in 12 games with the Bulls. Both Crescenzi and Devane were sent to the Bulls, courtesy of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Bulls return to action this Thursday, when they host the Idaho Steelheads for Thirsty Thursday at the Cow Palace. At select concessions, purchase two 12 ounce domestic draft beers and get half off BOTH beers.
