
Berube Reassigned to Manchester

ONTARIO, Calif.- The Ontario Reign, 2011-12 Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, announced that goaltender J.F. Berube has been reassigned to the AHL's Manchester Monarchs by the Los Angeles Kings for the first time this season.
Berube, 21, went 11-3-2 this season with a 9.03 save percentage and a 2.33 goals-against average (6th in the ECHL). The young netminder had a four-game win / seven-game unbeaten streak and finished his Ontario assignement with a 2-1 SO win against the ECHL-leading Alaska Aces on Saturday, Jan. 5th.
Berube completed his first full professional season with the Reign earning a 2.87 goals against average and a 0.907 save percentage in 37 appearances. He finished the season with a record of 17-13-4 including a career-high four shutouts.
Prior to turning pro, the Repetigny, Quebec native played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Montreal Juniors for three seasons spanning from 2008-2011. In his 2010 professional debut, Berube played three games for the Monarchs where he earned a 2-1-0 record, a 3.67 goals against average and a 0.855 save percentage.
The 6-foot-1, 174 pound goaltender was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the fourth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (#95 overall).

The Reign will head to Alaska to face the Aces for three straight games to finish the teams' five-game home-and-away series. After their Tuesday, Jan. 15 game in Bakersfield the team will return to Citizens Business Bank Arena on Wednesday, Jan. 16 to face the Las Vegas Wranglers.
