Akron RubberDucks News Release
The Aeros are proud to be a part of the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation's 2009 Take Me Fishing initiative.
The promotion will take place every home game, running for twelve weeks and ending in August. In addition to the grand prize sweepstakes of a Walt Disney World Fishing Excursion, features will include between inning games and other prizes such as a fishing trip with the team, and free giveaways. Fans will have the opportunity to register for these great prizes at every Aeros home game during the promotional period.
"Our baseball players and all of our local fans have a natural love for boating and fishing, so this is the perfect partnership," said Aeros GM Jeff Auman. "Who doesn't want to come watch great baseball, play some fun games, and possibly win a Walt Disney World Fishing Excursion?"
The promotion, which will be embraced by more than 30 states' Minor League Baseball teams this summer, is an effort by the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation to help increase participation in boating and fishing nationwide.
